Trump’s threats against Russia and the extermination project for Gaza. BRICS, South, Global Majority and Palestine

Why did President Trump suddenly issue ultimatums and various threats against Russia, for which and their urgent character there is no any obvious explanation? https://www.defenddemocracy.press/trump-deploys-2-nuclear-subs-after-medvedevs-foolish-inflammatory-statement/. Why does he seem to want to provoke a crisis with Moscow in the coming days?

One serious possibility is that Trump is acting under Netanyahu’s orders to divert the attention of the Russians and the entire planet from the extermination—within the next few days or weeks—of all or at least the majority of the Palestinian population in Gaza, possibly followed by its annexation by Israel (1).

There is ample proof now that the real Netanyahu project is the extermination of the Palestinians of Gaza. According to the statistics of the Israeli government itself, Israel is allowing less food to enter Gaza than the minimum necessary for survival. https://www.defenddemocracy.press/the-mathematics-of-starvation-how-israel-caused-a-famine-in-gaza/

By the way, the fact that several Western governments are now rushing to announce that they will recognize a Palestinian state—but only in September—suggests they want to avoid being seen as complicit in the horrific crime Netanyahu is preparing for August, while also giving him leeway to crush Hamas and create probably a Palestine – monster to be recognized! Clearly, many people forget that Pontius Pilate did not save his reputation by washing his hands at the critical moment.

Trump is not only threatening Russia; he is also threatening China. As the Americans announced, they discussed with Japan scenarios for the use of nuclear weapons in case of war in the Far East https://www.defenddemocracy.press/us-and-japan-discuss-scenario-for-us-nuclear-weapons-use/ We are on a good path. Humanity once debated how to prevent the use of nuclear weapons —now it debates how they will be used! How right was Mikle Klare when, commenting on Trump’s demagoguery, he spoke of a transition “from Obama’s endless wars to Trump’s preparation for apocalyptic wars!”

Let us recall here that the West, through Ukraine, had struck Russia’s strategic nuclear bombers—the final step before a full nuclear attack—just days before Israel and the U.S. launched the war against Tehran. This strike was likely a warning to Moscow not to intervene in favor of Iran. (2)

The “Empire” (i.e., Israel with its various lobbies, the U.S., and global Finance) would not be an Empire if it did not recognize the unified nature of the wars it has provoked or threatens to provoke in Ukraine, Western and Eastern Asia—all aimed at preventing the loss of its global hegemony. For them, the “chessboard” is global, but they prefer their adversaries to be trapped in their own localized problems (for example Ukraine or Taiwan) so they can more easily confront them, moving from one front to another.

The Operation to Exterminate the Palestinian People

The Netanyahu regime, which has already killed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians (up to 400,000 according to credible, convergent estimates), is now committing one of the greatest crimes against humanity in history. It seeks the extermination of over two million Palestinians through starvation, deprivation of water and medical care, and, of course, other methods (merciless bombings, terror, cold-blooded executions of starving women and children searching for food and water, rape, torture, burying Palestinian civilians alive, etc.). All this has been extensively documented by reputable international organizations, painting a picture of a government that has long surpassed the brutality of the German Nazis. And unlike the Nazis, who, as Hannah Arendt noted, carried out their crimes with bureaucratic coldness, many Israelis seem to enjoy it—judging by the sadistic videos they upload online, the “genocide tourism” https://www.defenddemocracy.press/he-genocide-tourism/ where they gleefully watch the destruction of a people, or the protests of soldiers demanding the “right” to rape Palestinian prisoners to death https://www.aljazeera.com/video/newsfeed/2024/8/13/israeli-protesters-rally-for-the-right-to-rape-prisoners. A gangrene has developed in Israel, threatening the very foundations of human civilization, fueled by powerful Zionist lobbies and opportunistic, corrupt politicians worldwide who pretend not to understand what is going on or they actively support the Israeli regime. Netanyahu, in a stunning reversal of history, has become the “Hitler” of our time! His ministers openly admit their goal is to “erase” Gaza from the map and make it “exclusively Jewish” (naturally followed by the West Bank and then the expulsion or extermination of all Arab citizens of Israel).

Even some of Israel’s most distinguished figures are now calling on the international community to impose harsh sanctions on their own country to stop the hostilities in Gaza and allow its people to be fed. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/29/letter-sanctions-israel-gaza-starvation . These are the ones preserving the honor and dignity of the Jewish people—what little can still be saved.

Netanyahu does not seek the extermination of Palestinians in general. He seeks it now, in the coming days or weeks. https://news.antiwar.com/2025/08/03/israel-preparing-to-escalate-military-offensive-in-gaza/. Because he knows that political support for Israel from the “collective West” is becoming increasingly difficult and costly. “Finish the job quickly,” even his own creature and instrument, U.S. President Donald Trump, begs him now  https://www.defenddemocracy.press/as-gaza-starves-trump-tells-israel-to-finish-the-job/.

Despite the barrage of disinformation or non-information on Palestine, despite the control of international media by pro-Israeli lobbies, global public opinion on the Jewish state has radically shifted. https://www.defenddemocracy.press/survey-what-the-world-thinks-about-israel-in-2025/ . Two years ago, no one dared criticize Israel or mention the colossal role of pro-Israel lobbies in controlling governments worldwide. Anyone who did was immediately accused of “anti-Semitism.”

Today, Israel’s public image is destroyed. The majority of the global population, even in spite of the limited access to real information, sees it as a criminal “rogue state.” Few public commentators still dare to support it, and they are considered untrustworthy. Western states increasingly resort to authoritarian measures to suppress protests against Israeli genocidal policies.

Netanyahu knows he must finish the job, “cleanse” Gaza by September and the UN General Assembly. He also knows that media and public interest will be at a minimum during August.

For these reasons, he needs the “final solution” implemented by September.

We have already compared the crisis in Gaza, both in its tragic nature and its regional and global consequences, to the Crucifixion of Christ and the Battle of Stalingrad https://www.defenddemocracy.press/gaza-the-golgotha-and-the-stalingrad-of-our-century/ . Whether Netanyahu succeeds in exterminating/displacing/crushing Palestinian resistance or not will have enormous consequences for the Middle East (western Asia) and the world.

Palestine, the “Key” to the Global Situation

We will now explain why the Palestinian issue is not local or regional but a global one. The direction not only of Western Asia but of the entire world will largely depend on what happens in Palestine in the coming days and weeks. If Netanyahu succeeds in exterminating over two million Palestinians and annexing Gaza by August, it will signify a massive political and civilizational regression for the entire world, pave the way for global totalitarianism-fascism, and increase the risk of nuclear or ecological catastrophe. It would also constitute a strategic defeat for Russia, China, Iran, the Arab-Muslim world, and the Global South (if not, in a sense, also for Europe itself). This is why Palestine is today the key to the global situation, as Iran was months ago and may be again in the near future. https://www.defenddemocracy.press/now-irans-turn-the-spectre-of-a-new-1989/

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is, par excellence, a clash of East vs. West and North vs. South.

The entire effort in recent years to politically and economically consolidate a “global majority” (as Russian President Vladimir Putin aptly phrased it) through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the BRICS etc., and to create conditions for a “multipolar world”—one not dominated by the “U.S.-Israel-global Finance” monopolism — will suffer a severe blow if Netanyahu’s plans succeed.

What value does all this rhetoric have if it remains too weak or unwilling to stop—or at least decisively fight—a crime of such magnitude against humanity?

Which people, which state or nation, will dare confront the Emperors when they see an entire people exterminated without protest, with no one stopping them?

The extermination of Palestinians will be a triumph not only for the Israeli Far Right, but for all the collective West which made possible this war of extermination.

Geopolitical Consequences of a Potential Palestinian Destruction

The destruction of the Palestinians and their national liberation movement, which will be soon followed by Lebanon’s dissolution (after Syria’s), will solidify U.S.-Israeli imperial control over the Middle East (except Iran) more deeply than ever in history, barring any Russian, Chinese, or Iranian influence, making Tehran more vulnerable to the next U.S.-Israel axis attack, and turning the region into a launchpad against Russia, Central Asia, Transcaucasia and China. It would thus be objectively a strategic defeat for Russia, China, Iran, and the Global South (and Europein a sense) and will have huge repercussions on other fronts of hot or potential conflicts (Ukraine, Iran, China, Korea).

The Palestinian issue is entirely unique and central in Western Asia. Palestinians are the ultimate symbol of the Arab struggle against Western colonialism, and their fight carries immense weight in the collective imagination of the Arab and the Muslim world, if not of all humanity. The unilateral Jewish takeover of Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem—the “homeland” of the three monotheisms—will be a seismic event.

Strategically, Israel—by exterminating (or expelling or crushing) the Palestinians, then clearing Lebanon and annexing southern Syria—will face far fewer regional threats to its security and thus feel freer to wage international campaigns against any state it deems an adversary.

If Netanyahu wins in Palestine, he will have eliminated a major obstacle to full US – Israeli dominance in the Middle East and the most historically stable, objective ally of Russia, China, and the Global South in Western Asia. Since the 2003 Iraq invasion, the Israeli Prime Minister and architect of the Neocons’ expansionist program has systematically destroyed every movement and regime obstructing Israel and the West, usually by pushing the U.S. to attack them. The strategy of Israel and the American (especially Jewish-American) Neocons is inspired by Haushofer’s geopolitics: they aim to replicate in the Middle East Germany’s 1939-1941 European strategy. That is to assure control of their region before risking, along with the USA and NATO longer expeditions aiming at completing world domination by the western ruling classes.

The Southern Front of a War Against the USSR and China

A Middle East (Western Asia) purged of all resistance and fully controlled by the U.S. and Israel would derail China’s Belt and Road plans, block any Russian or Chinese influence, and serve as the perfect launchpad toward the former Soviet Transcaucasia—where Turkey, Israel, and NATO already seek control of the South Caucasus and connection to Central Asia via the Caspian, isolating Russia from the Middle East. The region is also an ideal autonomous launchpad into Central Asia and, of course, China—not to mention full control of key energy resources used by Europe and China today.

In a sense, Netanyahu’s campaign(s) in the Middle East, alongside the Americans, is (are) the southern “complement” to NATO’s Ukrainian campaign—just as Germany, after its first defeat outside Moscow in 1941, moved against the Caucasus to cut off Russia from its soft underbelly, a campaign that ended with the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943.

Of course, some analysts still think Israel is not the “hidden superpower” but a small state with delusions of grandeur. The evolution of Trump—Netanyahu’s instrument and creature—should sound the alarm. All the history of western Imperialism during one and a half century teaches us the Empire wont surrender by sheer logic or by reading economic statistics.

A Global “Wager”

If Israel succeeds in exterminating the Palestinians without sparking a global uprising, it will decisively reshape global political consciousness. It will mean the re-legitimization of Fascist and Nazi methods internationally, thus facilitating enormously the Western drive for rearming and world war. It will bury not only humanity’s political and cultural achievements after the 1945 victory over Nazism but humanism and its achievements since the Renaissance—and also the gains of the Russian, French, English, and Dutch Revolutions, whose global significance Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted speaking at the Valdai Forum in November 2024.

We remind at this point that Israeli strategists like Odet Yinon, in his famous essay on an Israeli strategy in the 80’s have long ago proclaimed openly humanism as obsolete.

According to information from quite reliable observers, Russia, China, Iran, and possibly Pakistan are now considering the deepening of their military cooperation—but only after the shock of the U.S.-Israel attack on Iran. Military means are not suitable to intervene in the Palestinian crisis, but a range of political, diplomatic, economic, communication and other measures do exist—and should be used now, not later – to oppose the continuation of the massacre.

A decisive intervention by BRICS states (at least those unaligned with Israel) and the Global South— the “global majority” as the Russian President Vladimir Putin called it — to stop the genocide now, without any conditions, would be a monumental political contribution to a “multipolar” world. Given the popularity of the Palestinian cause among Western populations now, it would also boost the global standing of Russia, China, and the BRICS—even in NATO countries and the West.

Strategically, in historical terms, restoring the bond between Western popular/middle classes and the struggling nations of the East and South (which did exist after WWII) is the most crucial guarantee against a prolonged conflict between East and West that could one day escalate to nuclear or ecological catastrophe. After 1945, there is no possibility of winning a total victory by military means. And even before, politics was always a decisive factor in successful military campaigns.

As WWII ended, powerful Western circles wanted a Third World War. They were not deterred by Moscow’s nukes (which did not yet exist) but by the USSR’s immense global prestige from defeating Nazism. The American, British, French, Italian and Belgian populations would never permit a new war against Soviet Russia.

“War is the continuation of politics by other means,” said Clausewitz and this definition still stands, as the Palestinian resistance still proves. Netanyahu, followed by the collective West he largely controls, tried to invert the formula by making politics the continuation of war. In doing so, he has single-handedly created the conditions for a major political defeat not only of Israel but of the collective West in it totality — and an opportunity for the East and for world Peace, the kind that arises only once in decades.

Ex Oriente Lux—if the East finds the courage to do what it must do! Provided it does not let the Empire divide it. If it fails, it will not avoid conflict—just as it did not in 1941.

NOTES

  1. This possibility is further reinforced by Trump behaving on all issues as Netanyahu’s employee. For example, as soon as Canada announced it would recognize Palestine, the U.S. President reacted by saying this makes difficult a trade deal with this country.  Trump also retaliated against the prosecution of Bolsonaro, who is a hard Zionist and Netanyahu’s close friend and ally, by imposing outrageous 50% tariffs on Brazil. Not only does Trump act as Netanyahu’s subordinate, but all signs suggest he is under grim blackmail via the Epstein lists. Even if he wanted to, he couldn’t do otherwise. The hope and the dream of a supposedly anti-war Trump and of his New Right did not last more months than the previous one with the supposedly “radical leftist” Tsipras (under heavy US and Israeli influence) ten years ago.
  1. The close link between East-West confrontation in Europe and Middle East developments is not new. We saw it emerge with French and British intervention in Suez against Nasser (again at Israel’s prompting) during the 1956 Hungarian crisis. During the Cold War, the most extreme Israeli strategists periodically bet on Washington-Moscow tensions—or even a U.S.-Russia nuclear war—hoping it would free their hands in Western Asia. U.S. Jewish circles were closely tied to the Committee for Present Danger, the hub of those advocating a hardline stance (if not a preemptive strike) against the USSR. This Committee was the precursor to the Neocon movement, initially funded and led by B. Netanyahu—who, incidentally, claims to be Russia’s friend.
