Russia to keep S-400 in Syria until Saudi warplanes leave Turkey
The highly-advanced S-400 air defense missiles will also eventually be evacuated from Syria, said high-ranking officials in Moscow on Wednesday, March 17, according to an exclusive DEBKAfile report. But their presence for now is crucial in view of the continuing Saudi buildup of warplanes in Turkey, close to the Syrian border…
According to Debka sources, Turkish armored and infantry troops have already crossed the border and set up positions in the northern Syrian province of Idlib, just a few hundred meters inside the border.
At the same time, the ususally well informed Israeli site, underlines that the presence of the S-400 missiles close by is a worry for the Israeli Air force.

As for Assad, Debka believes he has no intention of playing along with Putin’s plans for him to step down and hand over rule in Damascus in stages. Assad does not mean to quit at any time, says the Israeli website. (Probably, one could say, Israel also does not mean to end at any time the effort to push him out!)

And finally, it would be maybe useful, especially for the citizens of France, Great Britain and other countries, upset now with the refugee flows to their countries, to remember who and what did in the Middle East during the last 15 years or so. And he knows, much better than any of us, the extremely dangerous character of the most “radical” wing of the international establishment, which had the capacity to initiate this campaign (and which, probably,  is also using “terrorist threats” and “refugee crises”)
