The government of New Democracy and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis supported the US military intervention in Venezuela and the gangster kidnapping of President Maduro and his wife.

The same was done by the party of the Greek Solution (pro-Trump extreme right) of Kyriakos Velopoulos.
On the contrary, all the parties and organizations of the Greek Left and Center-Left were against the intervention in Venezuela. Former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who is no longer known whether he belongs to the Left or not, but who retains the enormous ambitions and equally great confusion that have always characterized him, along with intense pro-Americanism, also spoke against.
Former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, who comes from New Democracy (Right), and the hard-right party “Niki” also spoke out against the intervention. The other small party of the pro-Trump Far Right, the Voice of Reason, has not taken a position, as has Maria Karystianou, leader of the “Tempi movement” who is rumored to create a party and run in the elections.
