From Monika Carbowska and the Committe for the Liberation of Janusz Niedzwiecki we received and publish the following appeal concerning the arrest of a Polish leftist political activist, who is also a friend of DDP.

A political prisoner in Poland: Janusz Gabriel Niedzwiecki, political and peace activist has been kidnapped by the police and imprisoned!

We just learned yesterday that our friend Janusz Gabriel Niedzwiecki was arrested on May 31, held incommunicado and accused of pro-Russian espionage.

The Polish political police kidnaped him and his girlfriend from the street in the center of his city Olsztyn at gunpoint. He was beaten up and taken to Warsaw to a temporary detention center in Sluzewiec where he is still being held.

The police officers beat him and threatened his girlfriend with weapons. The prosecutor also threatened his girlfriend “that she will never see him again”.

Arrested for 12 days, Janusz has not been able to see his relatives and has not had access to a lawyer. However, he was questioned for many hours, especially about his relations with members of the European Parliament.

The political police want to build a case against him “of pro-Russian espionage” by forcing him to testify about his relations with Mateusz Piskorski, the longest political prisoner in Poland today – Mateusz Piskorski, leader of the sovereignist party Zmiana was detained for 3 years in arbitrary detention from May 2016 to May 2019 and released on bail after international mobilization and a decision of the United Nations High Committee for Human Rights.

While he had no access to any defense a special court decided to imprison Janusz for months of pre-trial detention while no indictment is established against him. The police searched his house and seized money belonging to his parents’ business.

Janus Gabriel Niedzwiecki is a peace activist in Eastern Europe, president of the European Council for Democracy and Human Rights. He is a frequent guest of the Russia-Europe Council in the European Parliament created by Latvian MEP Tatiana Zdanoka and working for EU-Russia rapprochement, for Peace and against sanctions.

He has been campaigning since 2014 for human rights in Ukraine: for an international investigation into the crimes committed by Ukrainian Nazis on the population of Donbass and on the inhabitants of Odessa during the massacre of May 2, 2014.

Janusz’s last work was on the anti-Semitism of the Banderist far right in power in Kiev.

But above all, Janusz opposes, like us, sovereignist activists of the right and left, the takeover of our country by the illegal entities of the US military and the imposition of NATO bases on our soil, as well as the policy of servility of the Polish government to US agencies!

That is why he was kidnapped and imprisoned without trial or lawyer.

Human rights are currently being violated on a massive scale in a Europe in perdition. Poland is the country that most slavishly applies the orders of the criminal entities of NATO and the US armies, but Western countries also practice arbitrary imprisonment and torture: as a proof, the illegal detention of Julian Assange for years by the institutions of the United Kingdom!

Let’s protest! Let’s spread this information! Otherwise they will come for us too.

Janusz Niedzwiecki is in danger in Polish prison, he can be tortured, murdered. Do not allow the incommunicado detention become a norm in Europe!
