Anti-G7 protest hits the street of Hendaye during first day of summit

An anti-G7 protest hits the street of Hendaye, a French town located right on the border with Spain, on Saturday, August 24, during the first day of the summit which brings together the leading seven world economic powers.

The protest, organised by G7 Ez and Alternatives G7 will, according to its organisers, underline the responsibility of the G7 countries for increases in inequality and to highlight the dichotomy between the rhetoric and decisions taken by the leaders.

The summit will run from August 24 to August 26, and will see the participation of the leaders of the Group of Seven (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and United States).
