There’s nothing like killing children for bringing together hearts and minds. For the past 18 weeks, Israelis have been fighting each other, unable to find anything to bring us closer together. Then came the killing of the children in the Gaza Strip and proved that we’re brothers, after all.

So, we live in a country where the army plans the assassinations of three wanted men in their homes at night when they are asleep with their families – their wives, their small children ages four, eight and 12 – by bombing them from the air with 40 fighter jets. “Eureka!” cried one of the brilliant IDF officers, a planning wizard, a genius at thinking outside the box, an ace. I’ve got it, I know how we can eliminate these three men who deserve to die.
