After destroying Libya, France in Syria

French troops enter Syria from Iraq

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – French troops entered Syria’s Al-Hasakah Governorate on Thursday from their former positions in Iraq’s Nineveh Governorate, Turkish state-owned Anadolu Agency reported today.

Citing a source in Syria, the Anadolu report alleged that the French troops reached the YPG-held town of Rmelan, where a large U.S. military base is currently located.

The Turkish daily would then allege that French military personnel frequently enter and exit Syria through neighboring Iraq.

According to the same report, France currently has troops at five military bases in northern Syria.
