Human means fighter for Gaza

Themistoklis Tzimas*

If once it was the Spanish Civil War, the resistance and the war against fascism-Nazism, the struggle against colonialism, the struggle against Apartheid, today it is solidarity of all kinds with Gaza, which judges who preserves his humanity in the sense of noble, righteous, heroism, love and who his humanity in the sense of vulgar,  of the unjust, of the dark worship of power, of hatred.

Months pass and every means to bend the resistance has been employed: genocide, famine, murderous management of humanitarian aid by so-called NGOs, state-of-the-art weapons, torture, destruction of all infrastructure, murder of doctors, scientists, poets, destruction of the environment. Anything imaginable by a synthesis of the most murderous minds has been used to exterminate the Palestinians either through genocide or ethnic cleansing.

And yet, the resistance can still fight, using everything from Israeli shells that have not exploded to its own anti-tank weapons. The resilience of the Palestinian resistance proves that it has made up for its losses to some (rather significant) extent, as well as that it has the Palestinian people with it.

While Israel uses jihadist and criminal groups in order to strike  at the resistance in this way, the latter can also take on these treacherous groups armed by the Israelis (which is yet another proof of what jihadism, al-Nusra, Islamic State, HTS in Syria, etc.) means.

The endurance of the Palestinian people has already assembled a monument of heroism that is difficult to compare with anything historical. It doesn’t make much sense to explain again why being human in the positive sense of the term implies supporting the resistance against Zionist genocide.

But it is not enough to write only about Palestine. If we want to be honest, we must write to about the resistance as a whole mechanism that confronts the genocide. You can’t choose which Palestinian organization you are with in order for the resistance to materialize, or to be with Palestine but not with Iran or with Hezbollah and Yemen.

Moreover, Palestine cannot be a rhetorical obligation, which we “throw out” in order to continue with the rest of the ordinary. There is an urgent need for coordination of active and consistent forces internationally for the salvation and resistance of Gaza: parties, movements, governments, international bodies either with actions within states that support the genocide officially or informally, or with actions near or within the Gaza Strip. Articles, videos and documentaries, artistic events, occupations of universities, strikes, dynamic movements against the media that bury the facts, mobilizations at military bases, flotillas approaching Gaza and strengthening the axis of resistance in various ways, must take place with duration and coordination. The justification of complicity must not be allowed.

Unlike other genocides, unlike other versions of heroic resistance, both are being carried out in front of our eyes. If the term “human” still has a positive connotation, the latter must certainly be demonstrated through solidarity with Gaza and the resistance.
