In the usually well informed Greek Telegram channel by Thersitis we read the following interesting comment. We are unable to verify it by independent sources, still we reproduce it here for the information of our readers.
To call things by their name:
‼️ This development, the complete retreat and admission of weakness by the West, was primarily a triumph of Moscow’s—both overt and covert—diplomacy!
👉 Without needing or seeking any “credit,” the Putin/Lavrov/Ushakov team effectively designed and executed a plan, starting with yesterday’s Russia-Iran meeting in the Kremlin, where they masterfully:
✔️ Agreed to provide an “exit point” for the trapped and escalation-deadlocked leaderships of Washington and Israel, with “agreed-upon retaliations” targeting the U.S. base in Qatar,
✔️ Utilized communication channels to the fullest—with Beijing and the White House, as well as Qatar, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and even Turkey—which were used as “tools” for the West’s “disorderly” retreat, which had to be presented as “coordinated,”
✔️ “Played,” managed, and exploited with astonishing success both Trump’s colossal ego and the now blatant political incompetence of his team (Vance, Rubio, Huckabee, Whitkov, and the rest of the… “Bravo, you’re great, Mr. President” crowd),
✔️ And all this without making the SLIGHTEST verbal, political, military, or economic concession!
👉 If things unfold as planned:
➡️ Moscow and its allies close the second front—outside Ukraine—that the West tried to open in the evolving global conflict almost PAINLESSLY,
➡️ It strengthens and elevates its strategic, political, economic, AND military* alliance with Iran like never before (*Iran is a KEY supplier of military equipment to Russia in Ukraine),
➡️ Iran itself, a country that has NEVER attacked anyone first, emerges as one of the strong pillars of the Eurasian project,
➡️ Moscow and Beijing, through their positions in the recent conflict, NOW SECURE their role as “leading factors of peace and stability” against the hysterical, warmongering, erratic, and ultimately WEAK West! Just look at the unified stance and qualitative shift of the 23 Islamic and Arab countries following the Israel/U.S. attack on Iran!
👉 NOW, therefore, ALL THIS must be CAPITALIZED into tangible results!

Sky News: “Trump made the noise, but Putin did all the work behind the scenes”
Sky News’ Moscow correspondent, Ivor Bennett, reveals:
“Vladimir Putin played a significant behind-the-scenes role in the ceasefire that Donald Trump imposed on the Israel-Iran conflict. As noted, the Kremlin has much at stake, as Iran is a very important strategic ally for Russia. The question is, what kind of role did Vladimir Putin play behind the scenes? Donald Trump is the one making the noise, but in the background, Putin appears to have done a lot—communicating with all key players and negotiating with leaders across the region.”
Trump himself admitted he had a phone call with Putin, and it’s noteworthy that developments accelerated rapidly after Putin’s meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, and the message of support he sent to Iran.
“If he did indeed play a role in this, then not only will he have secured Russia’s interests in the region, but he will also have gained leverage over Trump—by doing him a favor that could potentially be cashed in and exploited in another arena, possibly Ukraine.”
