There are growing calls for the BRICS Summit to take place in South Africa, as planned. Some trade unions in the region have weighed in on the matter, with Pretoria set to host the gathering of influential economies in August.
But there’s a conundrum involving Russian President, Vladimir Putin, who is due to attend the event. The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin earlier in 2023.
