Oct 09, 2025

Gaza – Saba:

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) considered, on Thursday, “the ceasefire agreement a first step towards ending the genocide. The steadfastness and valiant resistance of the Palestinian people have broken the Zionist war machine and imposed the agreement.”

The Front said, in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), “Reaching a ceasefire agreement and beginning the implementation of its first phase is an important achievement and the first step on a long road to ending the suffering of our people. It is time for the genocide to stop. It is the fruit of the legendary steadfastness offered by Gaza and our Palestinian people, and the enormous sacrifices made by the martyrs, wounded, and prisoners, and the resilience of the valiant resistance that confronted the aggression until the last moment.”

The Front extended “a salute of pride and honor to the sons of the Palestinian people in the homeland and diaspora, and to the martyrs, wounded, prisoners, and missing persons, who embodied the most wonderful images of sacrifice and steadfastness,” adding, “Our people have endured what no other people has endured. Despite the destruction, massacres, and starvation, the enemy has failed to achieve its goals and has reaped nothing but disappointment, shame, and isolation.” She added, “From the beginning of the aggression until the moment of signing the agreement, the Front has continued its efforts without interruption, in coordination with all Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic forces, to achieve this moment when the Zionist war machine stops. The Front will remain by our people’s side during this difficult and pivotal stage in their history, continuing its role in supporting their steadfastness and struggle until their national goals are achieved.”

The Front praised “the efforts of our brothers in Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and other Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the positions and actions of the free countries and peoples of the world who rejected the continuation of the massacres and sought to stop them, and whose efforts contributed to reaching this agreement.”

It added, “We particularly appreciate Egypt’s steadfast position, rejecting displacement and supporting the steadfastness of our people on their land.”

It stated, “The current agreement breaks the Zionist no’s and aims, and is the only viable option under the current circumstances. Its success depends on the occupation’s commitment and clear American guarantees that prevent procrastination. Our goal now is to continue working to end the war of extermination once and for all, achieve a comprehensive withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, break the siege, and end the suffering of our people.”

The Front emphasized working “with all factions, under Egyptian auspices, towards a comprehensive national dialogue that opens a new horizon for building a unified strategy based on the historical principles and rights of our people to confront the next phase, and rebuild our national institutions on the foundations of partnership to confront all challenges.”

The Front emphasized its “rejection of foreign tutelage,” asserting that “the administration of Gaza must be purely Palestinian, with Arab and international participation in reconstruction and recovery.”

It concluded statement by saying, “The world today stands by our side and supports our right to freedom and self-determination. The global movement and the pursuit of the enemy and its leaders must continue even after a ceasefire agreement is reached, so that Palestine remains alive in the conscience of the world until the end of the occupation.”
