Witkoff, Kushner and Ivanka Trump visit Western Wall; Witkoff: Hostages ‘hopefully out on Monday’

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner are seen visiting the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

At the wall, the holiest site in Judaism, Witkoff tells reporters that he is “very happy” about the newly signed ceasefire in Gaza, which he helped broker for President Trump.

“We are very happy that the hostages will hopefully out on Monday,” he says, adding that “there will be peace, and lots of lives saved.”

Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Israel Thursday, a day after helping to secure the ceasefire and hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas, which was being negotiated in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt over the previous several days.

Trump is set to join his two key envoys, and hos daughter, in Israel on Monday morning and address the Knesset before departing that same day for an “in and out” visit, officials confirmed today, amid the deadline for Hamas to release the hostages under the Gaza ceasefire deal he helped secure
